#2 - Kicking off the Veterans Initiative
America’s brave men and women in the armed forces joined us at our annual benefit to draw attention to the astounding number of military personnel living in poverty in New York City. The benefit kicked off our Veterans Initiative which aims to address the unique needs of veterans living in poverty.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, the day when we reflect with gratitude on everything that we have.
Thank you to following Robin Hood funded programs that are trying to reduce hunger in New York City: Food Bank for New York City, City Harvest, Neighbors Together, Part of the Solution, Project Hospitality, St. John’s Bread and Life, West Side Campaign Against Hunger, Yorkville Common Pantry.

Bringing children out of homelessness increases the likelihood that they will stay in school and graduate on time, increasing the likelihood that they will obtain steady work and earn a livable wage.
