Robin Hood 2011 Moments:
#4 - The Concert 4 NYC to raise money and awareness for the 1.8 million New Yorkers living in poverty.
On September 30th, New York glowed Robin Hood green at the Concert 4 NYC. The Black Eyed Peas and 60,000 people rocked out on the Great Lawn to fight poverty in New York City. The Concert 4 NYC made history in many ways – including the first backstage chat and concert streamed via Hangout on Google +! Will.i.am and Executive Director David Saltzman hung out before the show with people from all over the world.
Watch will.i.am, backstage at the Concert 4 NYC (15:32 in), signing the custom Yamaha guitar that you could win by fighting poverty in NYC.
How well do you know the Black Eyed Peas? Can you tell whose signature is whose on this guitar? Fight poverty, and it can be yours.
The Concert 4 NYC proved that New York City takes care of its own. Win a piece of music history by supporting our Crowdrise initiative. With just $25, you could feed 30 people and win a guitar (the one in the picture!) signed by the Black Eyed Peas. Thank you for being Robin Hood.
Instagram in Central Park – Black Eyed Peas
Instagram photos were projected in front of 60,000 people in Central Park last week for the Black Eyed Peas concert hosted by
Robin Hood NYC. Using the Instagram API, the organization worked with HD MADE to live stream fan photos from the benefit concert. Instagram was also used to show the Golden Ticket winner, a mom who got a chance to sit on stage with her three young sons for an epic concert.
