A Deerfield Day of Service
This past weekend, local alumni from Deerfield Academy gathered together for a day of service at two Robin Hood funded programs: The Association the Benefit Children (ABC) and City Harvest. The volunteers spent the morning working alongside ABC’s staff, helping to engage the children in fun-filled activities including story time, block building, pretend play, arts and craft, drama, soccer, games, and computer work. At City Harvest volunteers repacked 32,000 pounds of apples, which were originally donated to City Harvest by farmers in the New York area. The apples will be redistributed to various food distribution groups throughout New York City, many of whom are also funded by Robin Hood
On behalf of all Robin Hood, the Association to Benefit Children and City Harvest, we extend our sincere thanks to the Deerfield alumni who gave their time this weekend.
