For many, summer in New York City is filled with trips to the beach, picnics in the park, and roof top barbeques. For companies, the summer is the perfect time for volunteer days that unite employees as well as benefit New Yorkers in need.

In the last few weeks, Robin Hood corporate partners have donated their time to help raise awareness for poverty related issues, as well as give Robin Hood funded schools some much needed TLC.

Ten teams from the Maverick Capital Foundation set up Lemonaid stands over the past few weeks, raising hundreds of dollars for Robin Hood.

Staff from Guggenheim Securities took a trip last Tuesday to Leadership Prep at Ocean Hill in East New York, Brooklyn to help the school prepare for the new school year. They assembled new furniture and helped them organize their library.

On Wednesday, July 25, volunteers from Och-Ziff Capital Management traveled with Robin Hood staff to KIPP AMP Academy in Crown Heights, Brooklyn to paint the music room, making the creative space more enjoyable and inspiring for the students and teachers.
